Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2018 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction Swiss Art/Swiss Made, which included the work Animation Aux Quais De Vevey by François Bocion. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 43,750.00 (€ 37,759.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by François Bocion have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bord Du Lac À Rivaz, 1883 in December 2015 with an auction result of CHF 187,500.00 (€ 172,374.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2018 führte Sothebys in Zürich die Auktion Swiss Art/Swiss Made durch, in der auch die Arbeit Animation Aux Quais De Vevey von François Bocion zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 43.750,00 (€ 37.759,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François Bocion auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bord Du Lac À Rivaz, 1883 im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 187.500,00 (€ 172.374,30).
