Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work The First Born by François Antoine de Bruycker for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,591.51). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Antoine de Bruycker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Family In A Kitchen Interior, which sold at auction in April 2007 for EUR 7,800.00.
