Auction result well in line with expectations
The work San Basilio by Franco Angeli was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in June 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 112,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Franco Angeli have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2017 the work Fiore Partigiano (Partisan Flower) was auctioned for GBP 181,250.00 (€ 206,660.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit San Basilio von Franco Angeli kam im Juni 2020 bei Sothebys in Mailand zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 112.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Franco Angeli konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2017 die Arbeit Fiore Partigiano (Partisan Flower) für GBP 181.250,00 (€ 206.660,48) versteigert.
