Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies in Milan held the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Evening Sale, which included the work Dolore acuto by Franco Angeli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 43,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Franco Angeli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fiore Partigiano (Partisan Flower) in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 181,250.00 (€ 206,660.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dolore acuto von Franco Angeli zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 43.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franco Angeli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fiore Partigiano (Partisan Flower) im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 181.250,00 (€ 206.660,48).
