In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work A Drover With Cattle And Sheep Before A Stream changed hands for GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,510.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franciscus Xavery - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Landscape With Peasants And Their Herd Resting Near A River; A Landscape With Shepherds And A Child Resting Together With Their Herd, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,505.26).
