Auction result misses estimated price range
In September last year a collector was able to acquire the work Vaca en un laberinto by Francisco Toledo for USD 320,000.00 (€ 327,098.03). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Toledo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Meu Xubi, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 1,040,000.00 (€ 943,824.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Vaca en un laberinto von Francisco Toledo für USD 320.000,00 (€ 327.098,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Toledo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Meu Xubi beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 1.040.000,00 (€ 943.824,30) versteigert wurde.
