Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Francisco Toledo for USD 32,000.00 (€ 28,847.02). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Toledo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Meu Xubi in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,040,000.00 (€ 943,824.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Francisco Toledo für USD 32.000,00 (€ 28.847,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Toledo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Meu Xubi im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.040.000,00 (€ 943.824,30).
