Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francisco Toledo could be acquired at Christies in New York in September last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art auction, the work Animales changed hands for USD 75,000.00 (€ 76,663.60) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Toledo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Meu Xubi in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,040,000.00 (€ 943,824.30).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francisco Toledo konnte im September letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art wechselte die Arbeit Animales für USD 75.000,00 (€ 76.663,60) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Toledo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Meu Xubi im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.040.000,00 (€ 943.824,30).
