In January 2012 Christies in London held the auction The Ski Sale Including a Private Collection of Swiss Posters, which included the work Chamonix Mont-Blanc by Francisco Tamagno. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,560.60), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Tamagno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chamonix Mont-Blanc, which sold at auction in January 2015 for GBP 16,250.00 (€ 21,627.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Januar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Ski Sale Including a Private Collection of Swiss Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chamonix Mont-Blanc von Francisco Tamagno zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.560,60) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Tamagno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chamonix Mont-Blanc beobachtet, die im Januar 2015 für GBP 16.250,00 (€ 21.627,33) versteigert wurde.
