Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2003 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work Head of a boy by Francisco Pradilla y Ortiz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 771.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francisco Pradilla y Ortiz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spanish Spring'S Fog In Italy in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 85,000.00 (€ 54,599.18).

Im Februar 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head of a boy von Francisco Pradilla y Ortiz zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 528,75 (€ 771,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francisco Pradilla y Ortiz erzielen.
