Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francisco Camilo could be acquired at Christies in New York in May 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work Saint Anthony Abbot changed hands for USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,717.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Camilo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Annunciation, which sold at auction in April 2015 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,748.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francisco Camilo konnte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Saint Anthony Abbot für USD 12.000,00 (€ 9.717,39) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Camilo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Annunciation beobachtet, die im April 2015 für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.748,07) versteigert wurde.
