In September 2007 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures, which included the work The builders; a study by Frank Owen Salisbury. The result of GBP 500.00 (€ 716.96) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Owen Salisbury achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sen Sisters in September 2005 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 140,887.05).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The builders; a study von Frank Owen Salisbury zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 500,00 (€ 716,96) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Owen Salisbury erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Sen Sisters im September 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.000,00 (€ 140.887,05).
