This artwork by Francesco Zucchi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2024. In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work View of the façade of Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome sold for USD 3,276.00 (€ 2,863.14) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Zucchi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Genoa, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,203.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Francesco Zucchi erzielte im Februar 2024 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings wurde die Arbeit View of the façade of Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome für USD 3.276,00 (€ 2.863,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Zucchi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View of Genoa beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.203,11) versteigert wurde.
