Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wooded Landscape with a Fisherman on a Bank; and Wooded Landscape with a Pyramid by Francesco Zuccarelli was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,771.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Zuccarelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Rape of Europa, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 171,000.00 (€ 183,319.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wooded Landscape with a Fisherman on a Bank; and Wooded Landscape with a Pyramid von Francesco Zuccarelli kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 55.771,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Zuccarelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Rape of Europa beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für USD 171.000,00 (€ 183.319,04) versteigert wurde.
