Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A cowherd on horseback chasing a bull with other pastoral figures beside a waterfall by Francesco Zuccarelli. The price achieved of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,274.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Zuccarelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rape of Europa in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 171,000.00 (€ 183,319.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cowherd on horseback chasing a bull with other pastoral figures beside a waterfall von Francesco Zuccarelli zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.274,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Zuccarelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Rape of Europa im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 171.000,00 (€ 183.319,04).
