Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape With A River, A Shepherd, Washerwomen And A Fisherman On The Bank, A Town Beyond Landscape With A Pyramid Beside A River And A Bridge, With A Drover, And A Lady On Horseback Passing A Family On The Bank by Francesco Zuccarelli was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 90,662.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Zuccarelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Rape of Europa, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 171,000.00 (€ 183,319.04).

Die Arbeit Landscape With A River, A Shepherd, Washerwomen And A Fisherman On The Bank, A Town Beyond Landscape With A Pyramid Beside A River And A Bridge, With A Drover, And A Lady On Horseback Passing A Family On The Bank von Francesco Zuccarelli wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 90.662,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
