Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work An Italianate river landscape with classical ruins, bathers and laundresses; and An Italianate river landscape with classical ruins and laundresses by Francesco Zuccarelli was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,134.92). Admittedly, works by Francesco Zuccarelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Rape of Europa in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 171,000.00 (€ 183,319.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit An Italianate river landscape with classical ruins, bathers and laundresses; and An Italianate river landscape with classical ruins and laundresses von Francesco Zuccarelli kam im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.134,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Zuccarelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Rape of Europa im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 171.000,00 (€ 183.319,04).
