Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A pastoral landscape with figures at rest by a fountain, listening to a boy making music by Francesco Zuccarelli was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,306.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Zuccarelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rape of Europa in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 171,000.00 (€ 183,319.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A pastoral landscape with figures at rest by a fountain, listening to a boy making music von Francesco Zuccarelli kam im Juli 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.306,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Zuccarelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Rape of Europa im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 171.000,00 (€ 183.319,04).
