This artwork by Francesco Zaganelli da Cotignola achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2005. In the Important Old Master Pictures auction, the work The Madonna and Child appearing to Saints Francis of Assisi and Jerome sold for GBP 108,000.00 (€ 156,652.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francesco Zaganelli da Cotignola have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Holy Family in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,015,650.00 (€ 1,216,384.34).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Francesco Zaganelli da Cotignola erzielte im Juli 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit The Madonna and Child appearing to Saints Francis of Assisi and Jerome für GBP 108.000,00 (€ 156.652,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Zaganelli da Cotignola auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Holy Family im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.015.650,00 (€ 1.216.384,34).
