In June 2003 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work Anglers on the Seine, Paris by Francesco Tammaro. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,363.95), 37% above the upper estimate. With this result, Anglers on the Seine, Paris is even the most expensive work of art by Francesco Tammaro that we have observed at auctions so far.
