Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures, which included the work The Adoration Of The Shepherds by Francesco Signorelli. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,340.00 (€ 13,044.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francesco Signorelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Holy Family With Saints John, Elisabeth, And Zacharias in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 80,500.00 (€ 61,549.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Adoration Of The Shepherds von Francesco Signorelli zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.340,00 (€ 13.044,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Signorelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Holy Family With Saints John, Elisabeth, And Zacharias im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 61.549,05).
