Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le due sorelle by Francesco Saverio Altamura was auctioned at Il Ponte in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,600.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Saverio Altamura achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Incontro amoroso sotto un pergolato in November 2013 with an auction result of EUR 21,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le due sorelle von Francesco Saverio Altamura kam im Mai 2016 bei Il Ponte zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.600,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Saverio Altamura erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Incontro amoroso sotto un pergolato im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.000,00.
