Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Francesco Sartorelli could be acquired at Il Ponte in March 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Paintings of the XIX Century | Antique and XIX Century Furnishings | Antique Paintings | A Collection of Gouaches from Naples | Objects from H.E. Cardinal A. Scola's Collection auction, the work A Creek of the Karst changed hands for EUR 550.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 600.00 – 650.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Sartorelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pescatori In Laguna in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 18,000.00.

Scola's Collection wechselte die Arbeit A Creek of the Karst für EUR 550,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 600,00 – 650,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Sartorelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pescatori In Laguna im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 18.000,00.
