Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Turkish troops and artillery by the tent of a general; and A christian general being presented with the keys of a city by a defeated Turk, cavalry on a battlefield beyond by Francesco Monti for USD 6,600.00 (€ 5,077.70). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Francesco Monti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Achille Trascina Il Corpo Di Ettore in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 34,350.00.

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francesco Monti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Achille Trascina Il Corpo Di Ettore im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 34.350,00.
