Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Battle Scene by Francesco Monti was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,766.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Monti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Achille Trascina Il Corpo Di Ettore, which sold at auction in November 2010 for EUR 34,350.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Battle Scene von Francesco Monti kam im Juli 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.766,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Monti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Achille Trascina Il Corpo Di Ettore beobachtet, die im November 2010 für EUR 34.350,00 versteigert wurde.
