Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures & Drawings, which included the work The Virgin appearing to Saint Maurice by Francesco Monti. The price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 609.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Monti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Achille Trascina Il Corpo Di Ettore in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 34,350.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures & Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Virgin appearing to Saint Maurice von Francesco Monti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 420,00 (€ 609,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Monti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Achille Trascina Il Corpo Di Ettore im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 34.350,00.
