A top price for Francesco Menzio - as previously expected
In December 2002 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA, which included the work Nudo di donna by Francesco Menzio. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 11,160.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Nudo di donna is the most expensive artwork by Francesco Menzio that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Dezember 2002 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE MODERNA E CONTEMPORANEA durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nudo di donna von Francesco Menzio zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 11.160,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Nudo di donna das teuerste Kunstwerk von Francesco Menzio, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
