Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Susanna and the Elders by Francesco Lupicini was auctioned at Christies in Paris in July this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,852.10). Other works by Francesco Lupicini have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2008 by the work Susanna And The Elders at GBP 151,250.00 (€ 158,856.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Susanna and the Elders von Francesco Lupicini im Juli diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 69.300,00 (€ 80.852,10) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Francesco Lupicini wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2008 die Arbeit Susanna And The Elders mit GBP 151.250,00 (€ 158.856,51).
