Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work The Madonna and Child with Infant Saint John by Francesco del Brina was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,400.00 (€ 2,012.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco del Brina achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family with the infant Saint John the Baptist and Saint Elizabeth in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,242.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit The Madonna and Child with Infant Saint John von Francesco del Brina im Februar 2006 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.400,00 (€ 2.012,58) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco del Brina erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Holy Family with the infant Saint John the Baptist and Saint Elizabeth im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.242,70).
