In the Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale auction, the work The Madonna And Child In A Landscape, With The Infant Saint John The Baptist sold for GBP 386,500.00 (€ 487,498.02) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Francesco Botticini; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Madonna And Child With The Infant Saint John The Baptist In A Landscape sold at auction in July 2013 with the realized price of GBP 494,500.00 (€ 565,052.44).
