Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings, Part II, which included the work Venus And Mars by Francesco Botti. Here, the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 31,200.00 (€ 24,714.83). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Botti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Judith and Holofernes, which sold at auction in December 2005 for GBP 66,000.00 (€ 95,795.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings, Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venus And Mars von Francesco Botti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 31.200,00 (€ 24.714,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Botti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Judith and Holofernes beobachtet, die im Dezember 2005 für GBP 66.000,00 (€ 95.795,30) versteigert wurde.
