Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings, which included the work Rocky coastal landscape by Frances Walker. The price achieved of GBP 956.00 (€ 1,431.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by Frances Walker have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October last year the work Seal Cottage Window was auctioned for GBP 2,422.50 (€ 2,822.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rocky coastal landscape von Frances Walker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 956,00 (€ 1.431,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Frances Walker konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres die Arbeit Seal Cottage Window für GBP 2.422,50 (€ 2.822,19) versteigert.
