Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work A fortified castle on a cliff along a river by Florent-Fidèle-Constant Bourgeois for USD 1,792.50 (€ 1,456.13). This price was achieved in the auction THE HOUSE SALE at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Florent-Fidèle-Constant Bourgeois have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ten Italian Views, Including The Villa Negroni, Rome, The Castello Colonna, Genzano And The Baths Of Diocletian in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,518.52).
