A top price for Florence Saltmer - as previously expected
The work By the millpond by Florence Saltmer was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2003. The price achieved of GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,303.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, By the millpond is the most expensive artwork by Florence Saltmer that we have observed at auctions so far.
