Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction, which included the work Pair of easy chairs, model no. FJ 45 by Finn Juhl. The price achieved of HKD 302,400.00 (€ 31,896.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Finn Juhl have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Early and rare 'Chieftain' armchair, model no. FJ 49 A in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,937,500.00 (€ 236,097.32).
