Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chieftain Chair by Finn Juhl was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The price achieved of HKD 201,600.00 (€ 21,584.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 130,000.00 – 260,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Finn Juhl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Early and rare 'Chieftain' armchair, model no. FJ 49 A in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,937,500.00 (€ 236,097.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chieftain Chair von Finn Juhl wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 201.600,00 (€ 21.584,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 130.000,00 – 260.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Finn Juhl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Early and rare 'Chieftain' armchair, model no. FJ 49 A im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.937.500,00 (€ 236.097,32).
