Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Bacchanale, With Offerings Strewn Around A Statue Of The God Pan by Filippo Lauri was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,896.22). Admittedly, works by Filippo Lauri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bacchanale Avec Offrande À La Statue Du Dieu Pan in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 72,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Bacchanale, With Offerings Strewn Around A Statue Of The God Pan von Filippo Lauri im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.896,22) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Filippo Lauri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bacchanale Avec Offrande À La Statue Du Dieu Pan im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 72.000,00.
