In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Pictures, which included the work A source of amusement by Filippo Indoni. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,799.92), 47% above the upper estimate. Other works by Filippo Indoni have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 14,340.00 (€ 20,628.01) in November 2004 for the work The River Crossing.
