Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Capriccio metafisico by Filippo de Pisis was auctioned at Christies in Paris in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 9,450.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Filippo de Pisis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ponte sulla Senna in May 2001 with an auction result of ITL 196,000,000.00 (€ 185,452.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Capriccio metafisico von Filippo de Pisis im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 9.450,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Filippo de Pisis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ponte sulla Senna im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 196.000.000,00 (€ 185.452,40).
