The work Roma, scorcio del Foro Romano by Filiberto Petiti was sold in the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART auction at Christies in Rome in May 2002. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,736.00 45% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Filiberto Petiti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tramonto Su Campagna Romana, which sold at auction in June 2007 for EUR 4,800.00.

Die Arbeit Roma, scorcio del Foro Romano von Filiberto Petiti wurde im Mai 2002 in der Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO - 19TH CENTURY ART bei Christies in Rom versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.736,00 und damit 45% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Filiberto Petiti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tramonto Su Campagna Romana beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für EUR 4.800,00 versteigert wurde.
