Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Agave, 1951 by Ferruccio Ferroni was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,547.80). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ferruccio Ferroni - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tramonto (Sunset), 1952, which sold at auction in June 2012 for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,405.15).
