Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Punchao by Fernando de Szyszlo was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in February last year. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,637.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fernando de Szyszlo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado), which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 182,500.00 (€ 126,947.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Punchao von Fernando de Szyszlo wurde im Februar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.637,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fernando de Szyszlo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paclla Pampa (Campo Desolado) beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 182.500,00 (€ 126.947,69) versteigert wurde.
