Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Gatta by Fernando Botero. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 312,750.00 (€ 367,400.69). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fernando Botero achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Musicians in November this year with an auction result of USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gatta von Fernando Botero zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 312.750,00 (€ 367.400,69) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fernando Botero erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Musicians im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81).
