Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work A viking's game by Ferdinand Leeke for EUR 2,390.00. This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ferdinand Leeke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zug tanzender Bacchantinnen vor einer Statue der Venus. in November last year with an auction result of EUR 21,120.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A viking's game von Ferdinand Leeke für EUR 2.390,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ferdinand Leeke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zug tanzender Bacchantinnen vor einer Statue der Venus. im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.120,00.
