Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work La Madrague, Seashore by Ferdinand Gueldry for EUR 3,500.00. This price was achieved in the auction Paintings Drawings Sculptures 1300-1900 at Sothebys in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ferdinand Gueldry have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Outrigger A Deux in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,079.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit La Madrague, Seashore von Ferdinand Gueldry für EUR 3.500,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings Drawings Sculptures 1300-1900 bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ferdinand Gueldry auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Outrigger A Deux im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.079,71).
