Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction European Paintings, which included the work Austrian das Veilchenmädchen (The Violet Girl) by Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller. The price achieved of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 197,582.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Other works by Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2010 the work Red and white grapes and silver tableware on a marble ledge was auctioned for GBP 301,250.00 (€ 362,219.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Austrian das Veilchenmädchen (The Violet Girl) von Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 197.582,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2010 die Arbeit Red and white grapes and silver tableware on a marble ledge für GBP 301.250,00 (€ 362.219,18) versteigert.
