Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Card Game by Ferdinand de Braekeleer was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2006. The price achieved of EUR 24,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ferdinand de Braekeleer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A fruitseller's advice, which sold at auction in April 2002 for EUR 90,820.00.

Die Arbeit The Card Game von Ferdinand de Braekeleer wurde im Oktober 2006 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 24.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand de Braekeleer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A fruitseller's advice beobachtet, die im April 2002 für EUR 90.820,00 versteigert wurde.
