It achieved a price of EUR 22,800.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52 %. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fernand Cormon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot French Still Life With Coffee Service And Hookah sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of GBP 26,900.00 (€ 34,217.98).
