The work Teacher in the Studio by Feng Zikai was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Paris in June this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 163,800.00 (€ 19,140.00), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Feng Zikai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pleasures of Life in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 11,500,000.00 (€ 1,238,149.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Teacher in the Studio von Feng Zikai wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 163.800,00 (€ 19.140,00) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Feng Zikai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pleasures of Life im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.500.000,00 (€ 1.238.149,27).
