Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Henry Morton Stanley, bust length, in tropical dress by Felix Stone Moscheles for GBP 625.00 (€ 724.96). This price was achieved in the auction Topographical Pictures including Selections from the Kelton Collection at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Felix Stone Moscheles - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work In famiglia, 1902, which sold at auction in November 2002 for EUR 2,728.00.
